Audio/Video in?

Hi all! Is there any device out there that allows Audio/Video in plugs (such as the kind that hook your VCR or Nintendo Gamecube to a television set) to connect to your Mac so you can use it as a monitor in that respect?

yeah, but they are expensive and I've heard that it'll delay games like a second, making it not worth it. Good for TV though.
