external firewire cd-rw, purchasing advice

Anyone have first hand experience with an external firewire cd-rw drive? I'm getting ready to buy one and want to know the pros and cons of each. Right now Im looking at high speed models from LaCie, firewiredirect, and glyph. Anybody use any of these?

(oh, I am a Lacie fan....they've always had good Mac support for their products...but I don't have ny specific experience with the firewire cdrw drives.....)
