I installed something from Installer and I don't want it any more and I can't get rid of it

I hold the icon until it shakes... but I can't get rid of it, it just won't let me!!

You have to go into Installer and remove it from there.

The same is also true of Cydia, which has far more apps on it.

Where do I go?

Open Installer and touch categories at the bottom then touch installed packages. Everything you've installed will be in there and you can delete it there.
