View Full Version : Do you go to the MacRumor's forums while at work?

I just wanted to do a poll on how many of you come to these forums while at work. I am a software developer and I do find myself on these forums while at work sometimes.

Edit: The "no" answers on the poll say "computer access", but this would also apply to other internet-connected devices like iPhones. I hope that's clear.

I'd be worried if 'she said' she had trouble getting it up...

To all the slackers out there, I've just noted all your IP addresses and am currently drafting an email to all your bosses and CEOs.

With any luck he'd come pay me a visit. I want to talk to him about our insurance! Cheap-a$$! LOL!

This thread reminds me that I was thinking of starting an MRA group.

MR anonymous. I really spend *way* to much time here...

Of course, I'd hate to think of how difficult my job would be without MR™.

It costs about $1.29 a minute to post here from work. So generally, no.

I did have one. Gave it up as a bad idea. :p

As for my avocation, no. No real opportunity in my travels.

I think I'm always here from work.

The thing is I work a billion times faster than upper management so I'm always waiting for them to approve projects. I could be working harder but there is really no point. I make the same no matter what I do.

The only thing that sucks is that I'm in a cubicle.

On most day Macrumors helps me get through my days. Unless I'm busy, which recently has been rare.

From the looks of it, almost everyone gets on here while at work. I think I smell a new MacRumor's slogan...

I think the question is, who doesn't go to MR during work? Or during times when you're suppose to be "working"? :p:D

Yes, but only when I'm clocked out at lunch - the internet usage police are quite sharp on "non-work" sites

That's when you get an iPhone with a data plan silly

I have it pretty good, my boss whistles when she walks around so I hear her coming a mile away. I'm a master at pulling up Outlook and making it look like I'm in deep contemplation.

It's not all bad though, last week's Tuesday I got to work on the logo for our Holiday Party. But most of the time I just update forms online or come up with cliche marketing paragraphs for ecards.

The worst thing I do is SEO and Search Intelligence. :/ I hate that more than anything I do. Trying to get it into advertising... but no dice.

Oh well, enough of me complaining about my job. There are definitely billions of people more unfortunate as I.

If anyone wants to open a design firm in KC let me know ;)

I'm quite sad really, I use a windows computer at work and I have placed a shortcut to macrumor's forum spy in the startup group. :D

I really should post more as my post to time spent on the forums is quite low.
