Top of trackpad hard to click - MBP Late 2008

Is it just mine, or is the top of the trackpad on the new (late 2008) MacBook much harder to click compared to the bottom part?
 
that's normal, no worries.

...or mine was also bad 😀 haha. i had to send mine back today for a loose battery/HDD cover.

gotta love apple, right?
 
It's not really designed to have someone click at the top. You can probably click about 3/4 to the top. But very top does not work, and was never intended to work.
 
Right, okay. It's a shame really because you can't (or can, with force) drag-and-drop... for instance, click and hold down on the top of the trackpad (to drag a file) and slide your finger downwards.

Couldn't really find any info on this, thus the thread. Should come in handy for others wondering.
 
i believe that at the top is where it is hinged. my advice is not to force a tap there or who knows what might happen. just move back to the middle to click
 
ok OR

you could just use it like you used your old macbook pro to drag and drop.

It works and feels EXACTLY the same. Just rest your thumb on the bottom and pretend there's a click button there.
