RAM in new G5's and 1.8 Indecision?

I wonder if Apple will continue to use DDR333 in the low end and DDR400 in the upper models?

My current Machine has a crapload of DDR333 and it would be great if the low end model still used this. What has the past shown? What do think?

Here is a dilemma... If you could get a 1.8 G5 with 1GB of RAM brand new for $1700, would you? Or would you wait? Im up against this decision, but hesitant due to upcoming updates.

There have been a lot of posts regarding this issue and I too faced such a decision last week. Unless you're in a big crunch and absolutely need a new comp asap, WAIT! As for the RAM question I expect that the low end's architecture will get bumped up to the high ends with the next revision.
