UK user in NY next week - shopping list advice pls.

I've got some friends shopping in NY for me next week with a visit to the Apple store Soho on their itinerary. (It's silly to turn down such a good $:£ rate.)

I want them to get my wife and I the following:
1 Pink iPod mini
1 20Gb iPod 3G

Do you have any advice?
Are the Mini ones avaliable at the stores yet?
<EDIT> According to 1-800-My Apple avaliable in store 16th Feb. I am going to check with Soho if they concur.

No, the Mini iPods are not yet available.

I forgot what date Apple said they would start shipping.

Just so you know, if your friends find that the Mini iPod is unavailable, then you'll have to wait until April to get one. The iPod Mini doesn't ship internationally until April.

With the collapse of the dollar (warning, political opinion to follow), following three years of economic mismanagement by the current administration, you can pretty much buy out the store.

The last time I was in Europe, the Euro was worth about 88 cents to the dollar, now look at it! (as of Friday, it was a $1.27)

i think the guy at the apple store in clarendon, VA told me the mini would be in by valentines day...

Yeah I heard mid Feb. so your friend should be able to get it for you.

Update NY Soho store says shipment arrives on the 16th. Should be avaliable then if it doesn't go out of stock.
