cleaning out some closets, ive found quite a few old cellphones and their accessories from the past 7-8 years, does anyone know of an address i can ship them to that will try and recycle or otherwise dispose of them correctly?

Do you have a recycling collection as well as your trash/rubbish collection in the US? In the UK, you can put them in with your kerbside recycling in some areas.

I have seen reputable charity shops - Oxfam and such - collect used cellphones, recondition them, and then recycle them in the Third World; perhaps such a scheme operates in your region. In any case, I have disposed of a number of my old cell-phones this way; environmentally, and socially such schemes can work well.

I'm not sure if all the stores are like this, but my local Verizon store has a cell phone drop box where the phones will either be donated, or if they're too old, recycled.
