I've read a link from somebody in Spain who disected and Ipod Touch and found a chip Bluetooth Broadcom BCM4325 similar to the one in the Iphone.

Does somebody know if this is true?
Does somebody knows about a firmware to activate it?
It would be great to use our cell phones as modem with the Touch without purchasing an annoying and costly extra adapter.

iFixit found the chip when they dissected the touch 2G at launch; as yet, there is no way to enable the chips Bluetooth capability.

yah, bluetooth would really open up the possibilities of the 2g touch, but they have to jailbreak the ipod before they begin to worry about that......

It was determined that the Broadcom chip is what's being used for Nike+ communication.

they need to first find a jailbreak and then they will be able to work on enabling the bluetooth for 3rd party apps
