Recover my photos from Apple TV

I had a hard drive crash and the only copy of some of my photos are on the Apple TV. I have removed the hard drive from the Apple TV and copied the contents onto my mac. I can see music files but I cannot find the photos. Can anyone help tell me how to get the photos.
