I am considering getting a rev. 1 Macbook air 1.6 hard drive version. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but is the MBA going to be a lot faster than my trusty iBook 1.33? I think I can live with everything in a MBA 1.6, if its not going to be a dog... what do you think? It is used primarily for basic word processing and internet stuff. Thanks for any and all advice!

ill be faster. Your going from 1.33 to 1.6 dual core.

It's going to be a LOT faster.

It's not just a numbers thing. Intel chips go significantly faster than their PowerPC equivalents at the same clock speeds.

Enjoy!

A MacBook Air will OWN any PPC machine. Even a G5 Dual.

It'll run circles around your iBook 1.33 really, really fast...:p

There are certain advantages to upgrading every ~4 years!
