question regarding RAID conversion

how long should it take to convert a drive from RAID 0 to RAID 1? I just got a MyBook Studio II and it just seems that it is taking a long time to convert-it has been going for at least 50 or so minutes
 
so I called Western Digital and they told me that it should be about an hour or so but if it takes longer like hr and a half to call but since they are closed now thats not possible. Can anyone who has done this please tell me if this is normal? For the record, I used the WD RAID manager to configure the soft-raid but it just seems to be taking forever.
