Apple's screwed now. Even though Apple's backed by it's super Legal team, I don't believe they're going to rig out of this one. I never had the battery problems... too bad enough people did to cause such a "riot".

The simple fact of lawsuits existing tells me nothing--lawyers will try something because they can.

Not all lawsuits are frivolous, but I withhold judgment for now.

I don't see how they can claim "breach of warranty" unless Apple refused to repair iPods with defective batteries within the first 12 months of ownership. The warranty that came with mine says one year and it doesn't give any other extended coverage or promises in regards to the battery beyond that time period. I'll withhold judgment for now too, but unless more facts to the contrary come in, I doubt those filing this suit will have much of a leg to stand on legally here.

I would agree with that except apple has taken responsibility and extended the warranty on the logic boards for that problem to three years. That is what apple needs to do with the ipod.

Whiny idiots. It's a freaking battery. Should we sue Duracell and Energizer because their batteries don't last forever?

Should we sue you because you didn't look at me right? I guess only in the States.

Big companies and frivolous lawsuits. Nothing new. If you have Apple stock, you get the shareholder reports, and it lists the pending legal actions that are going on at the moment. No biggie. Just a bunch of parasitic, greedy, morally-deficient lawyers leeching off the success of another.

When you're manuacturing thousands of items there's bound to be some defective ones.
