20'' Imac 2.16 Ghz Intel Core - Monitor dimming

I have a 2 year old Imac/Intel 20' screen - dual boot via Boot Camp

Recently, 10-15 seconds after loading up Windows, the monitor drops 10-15% in brightness and remains that way. Also, after an hour or more of sitting idle the screen goes black, and cannot be revived via moues/keyboard action.

I have no problems with the monitor at all while running as a Mac.

Any suggestions appreciated

The bootcamp control panel in windows has a brightness adjust slider, have you tried playing with that? Also I would run apple update and make sure you are running version 2.1
