What would be a good analagous household alternative to iKlear or all those other BS "cleaning" products. What does everyone else use? I am not about to pay $15+ for a bottle of that stuff when I can probably use something like rubbing alcohol or whatever.

Mainly I have trouble getting the grease of my fingers off the keyboard, trackpad and palmrest etc.

Any ideas?

I use iClean but I've had success cleaning my black MacBook with a damp (water) microfiber cloth and then using a second cloth to dry it.

I was wondering this as well. I purchased an iklear set but now the spray is running out. I still have the cloths so it doesn't make sense to buy a whole new set, and the individual 8oz bottles I can only find online and for around $15 after shipping. I was thinking maybe a bit of windex or something plus water?

You should be able to google for it. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the stuff for cleaning glasses, which is just isopropyl alcohol and water (I think). It's all about the ratio, 10% alcohol to 90% water. Not tap water I think.

I use my eyeglass cleaner on my MBP's screen.

Enjoy!
