Ack. Seems my MBP 17's optical drive has finally bit the dust. I can't get any CDs or DVDs to run. It spins for awhile then spits the disk out.

Buying a new computer is out for a few weeks. But how to play WoW?! Oh my.

Any ideas? Would an external CD drive work for a DVD? Could I connect the lappie to a Mac at work via Firewire and install the game using the work Mac's disk drive?

Thanks in advance.

Yep. Should work...

If not you can always connect via the network (create a symlink [not alias] on the desktop to your DVD). Browse to your desktop over the network and open the symlink.
