refurb macbook pro, or refurb macbook & upgrade

so, i have long been wanting a macbook pro, considering the refurbs are only at $1499 with the release of the newest model, i am wondering if i should go for that, or just buy the refurb higher end macbook and add some upgrades.

any advice would be awesome.:apple:
