The obnoxiously loud and uneven(side to side) click on the new glasspad was starting to get on my nerves so I thought what if I padded it. I layered 4 peaces of toilet paper between the battery and track pad. My trackpad is now ALOT quiter and its and has an even click side to side while still requiring approximately the same amount of force to click.

BTW I used Charmin ultra soft.

I did a similar thing with a thin clear vinyl disc meant for glass shelves, found at a hardware store.

I personally would not recommend using tissue. Tissue by nature is very dusty, and over time will start to disintegrate, leaving dust everywhere inside the compartment. If you want to use something tissue-like that's more durable, get an eyeglass cleaning cloth and fold it over a couple of times.
