are there any complications involved in taking out apps that I’ll never use / like Ottomatic, stickies, chess etc?

what about extra language packages in the receipts folder in the HD Library?

is there a hidden danger is doing so?

not that i've come across, it should be fine! There's also a language pack removal program that should do that for you - look at version tracker for

there is a program that wipes the extra languagefiles, delocalzier or someting like that..
