alright..im looking for an itouch but am not sure on the current rates;

I'm pretty sure i'll be buying my new itouch through amazon since my last deal through them went smoothly. Is $219 for an 8gig itouch (brand new) a good deal? link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FA1NZK?ie=UTF8&tag=instantdealsc-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001FA1NZK

the 16 gig is $289 but idk, $219 is already alot of $$ for music (i dont need to spend thatttt much). Are these prices somewhat standard for itouchs? thanks

1G or 2G?

That price is only $10 cheaper than the price of the current iPod touch, and if it is the 1G that is listed, then I would just go to Apple and get the current one for $10 more.

I got mine for $170 with a live.com eBay discount. But the discount doesn't show up for 60 days. And yes it is a 8gb 2nd gen.

Seeing as it is the current revision and there's no tax at amazon, I cannot see why anyone other than a diehard fanboy that swears by the magic of an Apple store would want to pay more.

Get it at Amazon; save money.

Not necessarily true. They now charge tax in New York State, which has changed my Amazon buying habits.

The iTouch only comes in 2 and 4GB's.

And it normally runs very low in price.

Hahahaha...

I know people don't like the word iTouch, but its common reference and is not really harmful. Everyone here knows what is being discussed.

I haven't seen the 8GB 2G any cheaper than $219. It was $219 at Amazon and Costco when I bought my 16GB at Amazon about a month ago. That's the cheapest you'll find it, just buy it from one of them.

I'll contribute...
If it's a first generation then no, if it's a second generaton then yes.

Can someone describe exactly how to use live.com and ebay to buy the itouch? I've tried searching via my live.com account and can't find an ebay link anywhere.

Thank you!

Thank you!

Go to live.com and search something like wii or macbook. Then click the first ad link for ebay, you will see it. Then you will guided to the eBay site.

Remember, it must be a Buy it Now and you must pay with PayPal. And make sure on the confirmation page that you will get the discount.
