What do you think about moving into USA in a few months?

I am thinking about going back to USA from my current place in the Northern Asia. I hear and read so many dooms-sayer stories on the impending collapse of US economy in a relatively short span of time (like, in 6 months or 18 months). There are so many different takes on the outlook for USA in coming months and I thought I field some opinions from you.

I wouldn't worry about the US economy. It's exceedingly unlikely (though not impossible) that it would "collapse" at any time in the future; that's a fact at any point in history, and now is not any different. However, if the US economy truly melted down, what do you think would happen to the rest of the world? I think I'd rather be here than anywhere else should that eventuality come to pass.
