Hi, I'm in my first year of university and will be moving into a house with friends next year.

Currently we aren't allowed to have our own wireless networks so everything is running on wires at the moment. However next year once I've set up wireless using an AEBS and an AE, would it be possible for me to close off certain parts of my network to others using the internet connection?

By this i mean, say if i had my iPod hifi connected to the airport express and a printer connected to the AEBS would I be able to configure the network so that only my laptop would be able to gain access to them?

Thanks in advance

You'd have to put security on the endpoints (the iPod, your machine, etc), since all the devices would be on the same subnet.

Set up the AEx as a subnet on the AEBS network. Allow everyone to use the AEBS network (password protected). Use a separate password for the AEx and use that to connect your printer and airtunes. Or use MAC address filtering.
