alternate model 17in. apple display?

saw this on ebay and had to do a double take. I've never seen one of these things before, and thats definitely an apple logo on the front. Am I missin something here? I think that is just an old model apple LCD from around the blue and white G3 days.

I thought that the only displays that apple made then were crt

can't help you out about when they're from, but we definitely have a number of those still in some of the labs here at school...
