Anyone do card and board games on Mac? Need recommendation

My mother is moving from PC to Mac with my help, but she is a big-time solitaire, card game and board game player on her PC. I went to the apple store, and all the card games there seem to be made by one company (Masque) and get terrible reviews.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this on, but thought I'd take a shot.

p.s. also any recommendations for basic games. She also accessed I think it's Real Arcade, where she could download basic, cheap-o games. Anything like that on the Mac?
