how can i get a recording off of ecconote?

has anyone found a decent way to get a recording off of ecconote? I see it has the ftp, but i was hoping to use ssh, or iphonebrowser. I just cant seem to find the **#%$# recording in the directories. I see it has ftp, but you need a site to ftp to. is there any basic ftp site i can send it to and then d/l it my desktop?

What type of machine do you plug your iphone into at home or wherever to sync?
