I guess it's a good thing I didn't have any credit before I upgraded.

I upgraded and still have the few dollars of credit I had before updating.

I doubt that it's gone for good. It happened to me days ago, but the credit showed up eventually later on.

Mine disappeared for a few hours then re-appeared...

Strange... Mine never went away. I also installed the Pro Apps and H.264 updates at the same time, so maybe that had something to do with it?

My credit is back now. :)

No problems here

Great... now I'm afraid to install an update I want really bad. I don't have easy access to more credit like some :(

No problems here at all. Store credit was there both before and immediately after the update as well.

I worked for iTunes support before. Just logout and log back into your account. It'll reappear.

The moral of the story is don't update iTunes... I told the Apple Update software to leave me alone because I was sick of having to download and install a new version every week or two.

And my music still plays.

Bye Bye Baby

If you are having serious problems with store credit- or you are using a US account overseas- servicemen and expats- download hotshield and get it up and running. Make sure itunes is not running.

Restart itunes in active hotshield mode. Store credit may not appear straight away, so you need to log-in. If it still doesn't appear, buy a song or something cheap and if you by pass any notification from Apple- i.e. store credit is expired or some such nonsense, store credit should reappear and you are away.
