I'm wondering how it'll work if/after we restore the phone? Like how will it know what all apps we have. I thought that the restore wiped the phone absolutely clean? so would the AppBackup data be stored on my computer? How do I access it to my computer if it is?

I still don't get how it works. I mean after you restore, it wipes the iPhone clean. So that means NOTHING except what Apple wants would be on there(including App Backup). and seeing as how it doesn't store anything on your computer to backup from. How will it work?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

It saves the file in with the standard settings. It gets backed up with the iTunes backup on your computer. Then you go back to the app and restore/redownload the apps with the program.

Aptbackup doesn't work on 2.2 so it is irrelevant.

You SSH into your iPhone/iPod touch and go into /private/var/mobile/Library/AppBackup and take all file and copy it somewhere on your computer, then you restore then SSH then put it all back =)

You must disable Backgrounder first. Then run AppBackup.
