So I am trying to get a new mouse for my macbook. I don't really want a portable wireless mouse, since if I am away from home, i have no problem using the trackpad. However, if I wanted to get a mouse for gaming, I see that there are some issues with compatibility with macs. I want a mouse that has the ability to switch sensitivities and map buttons.

This mouse looks pretty promising:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/187&cl=us,en

However, it is not "Mac compatible" which I guess means it will work as a basic mouse, but you cannot use all the features.

if I were to play games on a windows platform through bootcamp, could I use these features?

Is there a mouse out there with similar features, at a <$40 price tag that IS mac compatible (in case I ever bough a mac game)

Thanks!

If you were using a bootcamp partition to play the game then you could install the windows driver and software and it should work as intended.

Hopefully companies will start coming out with Mac compatible gaming mice soon.
