Wireless Connectivity Issues

Hi, I just set up a D-Link 802.11b router at home. I have a PB G4 running 10.2.8. I can access the internet through the LAN (built-in ethernet) but I can't get online using my airport card. My internet connect shows i'm getting good signal but it says that the Status of the connection is "Status not available" and I get the "specified server can not be found" error in m web browser. Does anybody know what settings may be askew?? Thanks for your time.

I had to set the transmit rate to 1 - 2 Mbps on my Linksys before my PB w/Airport Extreme would get an IP and able to connect.
