iPod full... how to organize iTunes?

Now I'm feeling the pain of only getting a 10 gig iPod. I have plenty of music and sounds I only use in videos that I can take off, but I'm kinda foggy on how to efficantly do that.

When (if) your iPod filled up, what did/would you do ?
