It is incredible but when Macrumors is full of news I can build a web site in one or two week, but now I can develop 2 or 3 in one week !!!

I do not want to think of the ammount of hours I spend here in a regular day.

...if I had a penny:)

Heck, guys, I'll take 1¢ per post! Money's money as far as I'm concerned. :D

P.S. eye, your ".25¢" reads as one quarter of a cent... doesn't seem like such a hot deal to me... ;)

I've been here for quite a while, and even though the idea to get paid for posting on this great site is cool...$3.86 won't even buy me an Apple sticker. Oh well...maybe I'll donate it back to the site.

Its a temporary thing for me, I think. Some day I'm going to really get back into my work and you won't see me around for a while. It does suck up your time, that's for sure.

actually....1 cent would be designated as .01 in decimal form...

25 cents would be .25...

1 dollar would be 1.00...

or am I just in need of some rest??? :D

Very weird...

Maybe an endorphin high keeping you up? You work out right before bedtime?
Extra stimulus, such as using a computer (hint, hint) can also keep you awake.

Get some quiet time...read a book...let yourself relax and you'll probably nod right off.:)

sweet. i had a hand in naming the two mods up in this piece... ha. i'm worthless.

oh, i got a job today. thought you'd have put that together. it's kinda part time allowing me to do freelance stuff and other personal fun projects (e.g. bounce with me don't bounce against me with d-mod). etc. so i'll still have time to post. "luckily" for you all...

i'm ready. shortly? what the? this is the internet age. it should be instantaneous!

thanks for the congrats row-dog and hglm.

basically.

it's a small time video place. but successful for what they do. which is small local commercials, industrial tapes, etc. i will be doing some editing (and capturing and whatever else is entailed with that). i'll also be doing some photoshop, after effects work... nothing too fancy, but basically getting company logos going and whatnot....

it'll be like 3 days a week, depending on his schedule. because he works out of his house, i can't very well be there working if he's out shooting and stuff. which kinda limits things. and i might be able to do some stuff at home, which would help..... it's like 8-10 per hour, which is low. but it's something. i also have one editing freelance job now, which will last for about a month or two. one project. and hopefully will come across something else at some point.

so that about sums it up. sorry you asked arent' you?

So you finally got some kind of job eh? Freelance can be both good and bad, but if's that's your bag, then go with it... :D

I kind of like having the flexible hours that being salaried gives, plus having kickin benefits helps a ton. There is a lot to be said for steady income, most places like to see that kind of thing.

As for staying up late, I think that is more of a geek thing then a nerd thing. Nerds tend to be way too anal about too many things, where geeks are more relaxed and laid back (and usually laid more often ;) ).

If I had $1 for each post I have made so far, I could get a new tower come MWNY, or get some more stuff done to the Harley. :D Latest addition/alteration to the Harley is that I am changing the saddle (that's the seat for those that don't know about motorcycles/Harleys). Going with one from Corbin, their hollywood solo with the gator pattern. Once I have that on it, then I will be taking some pictures. :D

Mischief walks into the saloon,a pair of guitar cases in tow. The cases hit the bar with a thump.Mischief tips back his black hat and open the left case........

Twin merengue pies stare up at the duelists.

"Gentlemen, take a weapon and follow me outside."

The hat goes back down and a wolfish grin plays beneath it's brim. "Any funny business and I'll feed you both your lungs......."

Mischief whips up his cases and pounds out the door, cackling.

I am pretty sure that the average elevation for all of Florida is below sea level... Not like many people would miss that state, but still... Get a good wave and it gets washed out (especially with all that sand all over the place).

Instead of "hot hunnies" how about just "hotties"?? More of an universal term, and brings better images to mind :D

you're being sarcastic here, right? I have actually seen a hill in florida, and I don't know anywhere in Florida where they have levees. You need them in places like New Orleans that are at river deltas, that have a tendency to be unable to support much on them, that and the fact that the layers of silt and sand, shift, causing the ground to subside. Nope, its not going to get any better there, the levees will just keep getting higher....

Not being sarcastic at all... I am pretty sure that the average elevation is about 3' below sea level. You do get hills, but they don't get all that high, and many of them have been formed by construction. Florida is just so damned boring (geographically speaking).

I lived down there for about 10 years (which is about 9 to 9-1/2 too many for a northerner). We were lucky to not get any direct hits from huricanes where I was, since they typically hit either north or south of us (we were close to Cape Canaveral).

got to love google, a little search brought this up

http://www.netstate.com/states/geography/fl_geography.htm

The Mean Elevation of the state of Florida is only 100 feet above sea level.

Did the same for Louisiana,

The lowest point in Louisiana is 8 feet "below" sea level in New Orleans. This is the second lowest place in the country. Only Death Valley, in California is lower; 282 below sea level!

There are an awefull lot of everglades, and that would lower the average a lot. You could probably find a break down by county and find out that way, that's too much work for me, though....

I just got married down there in St. Pete in December, it was perfect. But I've also been there in the summer, my brother lives down in Ft. Lauderdale, hot, the sun's a weight on your back when you're out in it. Although the keys are nice, when the breeze blows and you're next to the water...

On the mainland in the summer is akin to being inside an oven. Imagine no breeze and 100° in the shade... with about 95%+ humidity... ICK!!!

I wouldn't go back down there if someone paid me to (to live at least, I MIGHT visit in the cool times, on the east coast).

just goes to show you how rude the brits are.

if i give you a tooth brush and some floss will you use them?

an easy way to remember to use them each day is...

when you're having your 200th cup of tea for the day.... say this phrase

"after my 200th cup of tea, it's dental hygiene time for me"
