Clock on 2.2 ipod touch 2nd gen keeps changing

I have recently got a 2nd gen ipod touch.
The clock that is displayed on the home screen always keeps changing to something random.

This mainly occurs after a switch off/reboot or a sync
How can I keep the damn clock with the same time

Any help is greatly appreciated

try this..in itunes, go to preferences, device, and delete any backups listed, and re-sync. I have seen others have some luck doing this when this issue happens.
