What I need to know is, what can I buy so I can connect my iMac to my current internet. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff so help me out.
I have dsl from scb.yahoo. and a newer iMac. Do I need to buy a router? If so, which one? or Is there an alternative way to connect my iMac to the internet. And also there is no way for me to connect any wires from my iMac to my dsl box there are too many walls in the way.

You need a wireless router! Your iMac has a wireless card in it that will connect wirelessly to your router. You're best off contacting your ISP and asking them what router they recommend - they can usually supply one.
