touch screen not working on 2G

This morning I went to use my touch, and the touch part of the touch screen isn't working. I just restored my touch to see if that would help, and it didn't. When i touch the hold button the volume increases too, i had never noticed that before, and I don't think it is supposed to do that either. not being able to use the touch screen sort of makes this thing useless.... has anyone else had issues like this? thanks.

If you've tried reseting, restoring etc without any luck, I'd bring it in to a store if you have one locally, or call for it to be sent in for exchange if it is a hardware defect.

Take it to an apple store, don't wait. I don't think you'll be able to fix that.
