Panel model of 24inch LED Cinema Display

Can someone with the new 24inch LED cinema display load SwitchResX and generate a DDC block report? This will give the exact model of the panel used in the cinema display. Thanks!
 
I want to buy this monitor, I need it confirm 100% that it's IPS; well unless Apple allows me to buy one, disassemble it and return it if it's not.

For some reason, the panel model of the 24inch LED Cinema has been very elusive...unless someone can decipher the EDID version 1.4 info from the monitor or physically disassemble it.
 
I've now got the screen and I've got SwitchResX installed, but I've no idea how to use it!

The output doesn't seem to include anything about the panel type.

Any ideas?
 
Actually we can perform the black level test. Just create an image that's 100% black. Then using Preview and display it as a slideshow so it will be fullscreen black. Since the thing is glossy, turn off all and any light sources. Then look at the display from the extreme angles. If it looks purple, it's an IPS panel.

I took a picture of what the display should look like if it's an IPS panel. This is a picture taken at an extreme angle of a verified S-IPS Dell 2007WFP:


This is displaying in full screen that same image I attached above.

OK, I've tried that. There is a purple-ish tint, but it's nowhere near as extreme as the picture you show, and it's a much deeper purple.

Yeah it's suppose to be deep purple. My exposure was a bit off, but it was really just to give an idea.

I think it's fair enough to say it's IPS.
