Does the second gen Touch have a built in microphone? I'm thinking that since they added a speaker, maybe they put in a mic too.
I'm a musical instrument player/maker (see www.busmanwhistles.com) and would like to play with that electronic Ocarina app, but it uses the mic on the iPhone.

You can use those apple headphones which have the mic in them (at least I think so).

^ I thought they haven't come out yet? But yea, those ear buds are great quality, there two drivers in each piece, giving you 2 tweeters and 2 subs.

Uhh... sorta.
At the September 9th keynote Steve said October but they have yet to be released.

Any headphones that work with iPhone will work with the iPod touch 2g. So I got some Shure SE-210s and Music Phone Adapter For iPhone, and it works fine.

Been saying that for a while now, its annoying for those who are waiting. But there are alternatives as have already been posted.
