When I download apps from the app store and I tried syncing it to my iphone it says that I'm not authorized to do it on my iphone. What gives?

Are you using a new computer or a computer you haven't authorized? In either event you need to authorize the computer before it will sync. :o

It should give you the option with a prompt. Enter your iTunes password and it will give you a confirmation with the number of machines you have left to authorize (I think you start with four).

In iTunes, go to Store -> Authorize computer and click on Authorize.
