due to changing companies i will be issued a new laptop. Is it easy to copy from iphone to itunes?

Not really. Unfortunately, a DRM-type restriction prevents iTunes from importing music from an iPhone or iPod unless it's been purchased from the iTunes store directly.
Your best bet is to get an external USB Flash or hard drive (they're not too expensive nowadays) and copy your iTunes library over to that. Then transfer to the new laptop when it arrives.

10+ years in the tech industry has taught me to keep work data separate from personal. If you bought your iphone yourself (as opposed to it being company issued) keep it synced to your own computer. That way when you change companies you don't have to worry about moving your personal data.

There is an app called Senuti.
Easiest thing ive used in ages. Took about 10 mins to copy 8GB
