Capture video using tv-out?

Does anyone know how to record video to a macbook?

I want to capture gameplay(xbox360), and old vhs to my computer using the tv-out. I know its possible using dazzle for windows but is there any way of doing it for osx leopard?

Can I transfer the tv-image to my computer and then record it using IshowU? Or is that the wrong way to go about it?

You need at least some kind of Break-Out box to convert the analog signal into a digital one.
Pinnacle (now owned by Avid) has two products (http://pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Mac+Solutions/Mac/), that might help you.
