TM backup disk changed machine. How do i get TM to recognize it?

Hi,

I have a disk that TM uses for backups. This disk used to sit inside my Mac Pro, which i have now sold.
I now have a new Macbook Pro and i built that backup disk into an external casing, and connected it via USB.
How do i get TM on the new machine to recognize the previous backups? 😕
