I'm looking to buy a stand with wheels for my G5. Any ideas?

Dr Bott makes a product called the "G5 skateboard", which can be found here:

They also make a roof for the G5:

I've seen another product made of Lexan that is similar to the G5 skateboard (in the back pages of MacWorld), but I don't remember what it was called. I didn't think is looked as sturdy as the Dr Bott solution...

The G5 skateboard and roof really make it look cool. Makes it into a really cool looking racing machine. The problem for me would be the price of $175 & $75. Who knows is I'm feeling loaded at the time I might consider the product. Trying to catch that a MacWorld might be best, receive a special pricing.

I would be cautious around MacMice, there have been some problems with the founder and his startups in the past. I don't know what its like now, it may have been misunderstandings or what not, but do some research into their policies and see if you can find some reviews before you buy.

Hmmm... am I the only one to think that the G5 looks nicer with the wheels and roof on? Strange.

Get a nice piece of wood from Home Depot and paint it with matching spray paint. Mount 4 casters on the bottom. Should cost you under $25.

It's not an issue of what happened to him personally, but that the guy who founded the company has been kind of shady in the past. One that I can think of off the top of my head was rebadging furniture from a company called Green Design and selling it higher prices, calling it "the ultimate Mac furniture" or something like that.

There was a thread about it a while back. Try a search.

The roof and skareboard thing actually look pretty sharp, but not $200 sharp. $200 that's crazy...

I thought about getting that one, but it sits to low to the ground. Plus my carpet is thick.
