I was just given an used PowerBook 5300c.
So the question is what to do with it. It may or may not work. I am in the process of getting a charger for it, but assuming that it does work, any suggestions on what to do with it. I don't have any system software on floppy anymore, and I am not sure how to get my firewire drives (both CD and HD) to work on the SCSI port. I assume there is an adapter for this.
Any suggestions?
Also, is it worth the $50 for the charger to see if this thing works?

edited out two typos

it would cost far less to nothing just to take it into a mac tech and just see if its dead or not. he could power it and tell you within 2-3 min.

if it works I would use it as an email machine. it would be perfect to take with you while away and use just to email and web browse. for those simple functions it would be fine. I recommend OS 7.6.1 or 8.1
