Can I connect and use these two without causing any excessive stress or problems one with one device or the other until my G5 Powermac arrives? Here in Japan there's a 2-3 week shipping time listed at the Apple Store. Will my iBook even be able to power that monster screen?
Thanks for pardoning my ignorance...

Your iBook only supports a maximum resolution of 1024x768 pixels. And that resolution on a 20" flat-panel display is just a pain.
Besides, you'd need to purchase a ADC adapter for your iBook.
Save the money and wait until your G5 arrives.

Thanks for the advice. Could you maybe reach into your pocket and grab one for me?:D
(That's an inside joke, no pun intended:p)

I guess this the place where someone's supposed to jump in and say, "That's not an ADC adapter in his pocket."
