The Tennessee Valley Authority is looking to buy up to 2,000 megawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2011.
The nation's largest public utility issued a request for proposals Tuesday to buy enough clean energy from the wind, sun and other renewable sources to supply about 978,000 homes in three years.
It would be like adding two new nuclear reactors to the TVA system.

Searched for that program on iTunes to see what it is.
EDIT: Funny e-mail I just got:
A young man called Chris from London wanted to buy a Christmas present for his new girlfriend.
They hadn't been seeing each other for very long and she lived in Scotland .
Chris consulted with his sister and decided, after careful consideration, that a pair of good quality gloves would strike the right note... not too romantic and not too personal.
Off he went with his sister to Harrods and they selected a dainty pair of fur lined quality leather gloves. His sister bought a pair of sexy knickers for herself at the same time.
Harrods had a free gift wrap offer but the assistant mixed up the two items, the sister got the gloves and Chris unknowingly got the knickers.
Good old Chris sent off his gift wrapped present in a parcel with the following letter.
Dear Maggie,
I chose these because I've noticed that you are not wearing any when we go out in the evenings. If it had not been for my sister I would have chosen the long ones with buttons, but she wears shorter ones (which are easier to remove).
These are a very delicate shade, but the lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past three weeks and I hardly noticed any marks.
I had her try yours on for me and she looked really smart in them even though they were a little bit tight on her. She also said that they rub against her ring which helps keep it clean. In fact she hasn't needed to wash it since she began wearing them.
I wish I was there to put them on for you the first time, as no doubt many other hands will touch them before I have a chance to see you again.
When you take them off remember to blow into them a little bit because they will be naturally a little damp from wearing.
Just imagine how many times my lips will kiss them during the coming year.
I hope you will wear them for me on our next date.
All my love,
Chris
P.S. My mum tells me that the latest style is to wear them folded down with a little bit of fur showing.
Regards
Mark Feather

One day the people from the BBC were standing at the side of a road in London, wearing Burberry caps and shouting abuse at Bentley's and Rover's that went by.
Thats something from a Top Gear group, the next line said something like "hey, we could make a TV show from this!" :D

The Activity Performance Report allows you to monitor the time that staff are spending while recording or listening to patient reports. This report will allow you to see the averages for various users, units and for the entire hospital. This can also help you to discover which reporting methods are most effective.

The model number of a Shuttle PC I just inherited. It'll only power on intermittently -- I've been googling for a replacement power supply for it.
(I got it working for the moment... I dragged my old PC down from the loft and took out its power supply. That PSU is about 1/4 the size of the entire Shuttle PC. I've taken out the busted PSU from the Shuttle and run the cables from my PSU through the resulting hole in the back of the Shuttle and connected it up. I've now got a working small-form-factor PC, albeit with a great big ATX power supply hanging out the back of it.)
It's the only PC I've had running in the house now for 3 years. Got it hooked up to my TV via HDMI for the odd bit of gaming. I've even released my inner nerd and written a Front Row-style UI for browsing and launching games... I've derisively named the app Wintendo. :)
