Pleaseeee helpp!!!
The last few hours my speaker on my iphone 3G hasn't worked. I cant here my phone ring, i cant listen to music without headphones, it is acting as if it is on silent, but it isnt!
I have tried to reset it but this hasnt worked, i have tried to continuously put in the headphones and then take them out again, this hasnt worked either.
The phone is like brand new...yesterday i got it, and the speaker was fine, and then today about 3 hours ago it went!
aghhhh! its getting on my nearves!!! please helpp!! 🙁 🙁 🙁

I know it sounds stupid but have you checked the mute switch on the side.

It sounds extra stupid since he said in the original post that he did. 😉

Take it back. If its only 24 hours old they'll exchange it no questions asked.

fluff maybe

Hiya

Blow into the headphone socket and/or insert then remove the headphone jack quite fast several times. Repeat!

You may have some fluff or debris in the headphone socket that makes iphone think a headphone is attached - it happened to me a couple of times with the earlier iphone... maybe that damn recessed socket attracts rubbish?

Good luck
