So Rev A on an external display was a bit of a disaster with me with the machine finding it a pretty taxing task.
Are things better on Rev B?
Well last night I went to my local Apple Store and they sales guy took the Air and plugged it into the new 24inch display. He had imovie vmware fusion/windows xp etc playing on it and we got it's temperature up to about 175 degrees. Overall it was an impressive display. With only 2 GIG max ram I would not be buying the HD model this go round. I may still be tempted to pick up the SSD model today. It's definately an improvement over the Rev A from what I saw. It's just a shame that the machine needs to use system ram for it's video but the SSD compensate for that.
