PS3 has Fold@home, why not AppleTV? It's an always on device and I know there seems to be a hack for it but why wouldn't Apple support an official update?

Well the PS3 has WAY more cpu horsepower then the atv.. Its probably not worth the use. It MIGHT have overheating issues with the cpu being taxed 100% all the time too.
My folding farm creates alot of heat.

1. It's frivolous.
2. It's not the purpose of the device.
3. The darn thing creates enough heat already.
4. It has no real power.
1. It's frivolous.
I would not call a noble endeavor (http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-Diseases) frivolous.
2. It's not the purpose of the device.
Once you own an item you are free to determine and advocate what the purpose of the device (http://www.boxee.tv/) should be.
3. The darn thing creates enough heat already.
It seems to handle it OK so far.
4. It has no real power.
Certainly more powerful than some of the machines that I have used it on. Lots of small thing add up. It certainly exceeds (http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/03/28/whats_inside_an_apple_tv_tear_down_reveals_almost_all.html) the system requirements (http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-main#ntoc11).
