Help please

I created a movie with Avid back in 2001. Previously I have been able to run the bugger, but now tidying up my files I find that I cant open the file because it is an Classic Application. From memory it was saved as a stand alone file...not quicktime etc, but the extension does say mov. (I honestly can't remember back seven years)

Other than heading out to find a Classic machine still running, is there anyway to covert and update this file, on a current machine without the high end software?

Thanks for any advice...

try and get a G5 and run it under classic... or else you're stuck because you just just have the avid file and raw media/

You just need to install the Avid Codecs, the latest FREE codec packs should include the Merdian codecs which most likely you encoded that video with. Install that and it should work flawlessly.
