I have a question about the 2.2 firmware. I have an unlocked 2G iPhone. If I upgrade to 2.2 using iTunes, will I loose the Baseband Unlock? Since the phone is only 4GB, I am not really all that interested in JB, but I can use pwnage tool if I have to to keep the unlock when moving to 2.2.
Thanks!

You can upgrade to 2.2 or restore to 2.2 and still be able to unlock because all 2g iPhone basebands can be unlocked. Or you can create a custom firmware with pwnage to preserve the baseband.

As long as there is no baseband update for the 2G - which there hasn't been in a while now - you can.

Thanks-I was hoping that was the answer-I really do not need JB on this phone and with just 4GB, a Jailbreak doesn't leave a lot of room for other things.
