I meant... I don't see the auction link anywhere. Are you auctioning it? or is it on Ebay or something? I couldn't find it after a quick look...

No, it's just best offer over email.
I may do the ebay thing later.

So, you got what you wanted and now you are finished with it? Just like that? Are you one of my old girlfriends that dumped me after something better came along?
I'm just kidding, but really, what's up? Did you get tired of Macs? Get something new? I thought you loved that Mac!

No I still love, I just have more G5's than I need and since this one is "well-known" I thought it would be a good way to raise money for starving kids.

In the days before eBay there used to be a Usenet newsgroup called misc.forsale.computers. If you had a computer for sale, you'd make a post in the newsgroup, for example "Sun 3/60 Workstation for sale, best offer", and then people would send you emails. You would sort through the mails, and maybe send a few replies out, and select the best offer.
It was a royal pain.
eBay is vastly better. You'll get more offers, better offers, and automatic results.
But if you still insist on doing it yourself... I'll offer $1600 plus shipping, assuming it still works after the disassembly shown in the photos. I know it's not a very good offer, but I can't afford to spend, well really, even that much. My Cube is up for auction on eBay even as we speak.

Cool! So I guess we're up to $1600!

Actually the pics (below) are of me opening the box when I first got it, and putting the ram in. I'm typing this message on the very same beast now.

This is where a minimum bid offer comes in handy.
I.E. no bids under $xxx.xx
:p

Hmmm excellent suggestion... what would a fair minimum bid price be, keeping in mind that the auction is for charity?

Come on people. This has 3.5GB RAM and dual 2GHz processors. It's worth a lot more than the $1600 range, even being used.....and MORE important: IT'S FOR CHARITY! If I had not bought a 17" PowerBook 2 weeks ago I'd up this auction......somebody step up.

Apparently MacRumors is goig to close this thread today... don't really understand why as it's an item for sale, but they own the forum so they can do as they wish...
So you guys can still email me at G5@geniemusic.com
Thank you for all your great support. :)
